Hello and Thank You for visiting my website!  My name is Charles E. White, most of my friends call me "Ike" and I have fished for bass for over 55 years.  I started fishing for bass when I was 6 years old.  I grew up in Ohio but lived in California and Florida both and have fished there for ole bucketmouth.  I have fished in many states for bass but Ohio is my favorite to fish overall.

I have owned two tackle stores in my life, one in Ohio and one in Florida and have taught many to fish for bass their very first time.   My best day fishing was 76 bass in 4 hours in 1989 in Ohio at St. Joseph Reservoir.  I had fished there many times before and many times since but nothing close to that day has ever happened again.

If you like to bass fish then Ohio is a great place to live.  You have smallmouth bass, white bass and of course, largemouth bass.  Bass fishing is a 60 billion dollar industry in itself and bass fishing in Ohio takes up a lot of that industry, more than people realize.  You have Lake Erie and Buckeye Lake for White Bass among other waters.  Rivers and streams for Smallmouth Bass and just about anywhere water is in Ohio for Largemouth Bass.

I have fished from coast to coast for bass and I can tell you Ohio ranks in the top for bass fishing of all the States.   Yes, you'll find places like Florida, Texas and California that averages bigger bass but overall Ohio is a great place to fish for bass.  Here are some of Ohio's state record bass:
